Boston, MA – September 1, 2009 - POER’s Senior Consultant Mike Miano will serve as a moderator and session chairman at the upcoming annual conference of the International Association of Assessing Officers. The event, which will be held September 13-16 at the Galt House Hotel and Suites in Louisville, Kentucky, marks the 75th anniversary of IAAO.

Miano, who serves on the Association Member Committee, will lead a session on ad valorem appeals and litigation entitled, “Cooperation vs. Confrontation.” The four panelists presenting the program include two assessors and two private industry representatives.

Miano will also be presented by the IAAO Nominating Committee as a candidate for election to the Executive Board in the upcoming November election.
