Dallas, TX – June 1, 2007 - POER Senior Vice President Ken Parsons is one of six tax professionals on the Property Tax Consultants Advisory Council for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Parsons was appointed to the Advisory Council in 2005 and will serve until February, 2010.

The TDLR is a state regulatory agency that currently oversees more than twenty types of businesses, industries, trades and occupations. The agency is responsible for issuing licenses, setting standards, investigating complains, holding hearings and assessing penalties.

The Property Tax Consultants Advisory Council makes recommendations to the TDLR on educational standards, conduct and ethics for licensed property tax consultants in the State of Texas.
