W. Ken Parsons

Senior Vice President, Group Operating Officer - South

Mr. Parsons was formally educated in business at the University of North Texas. He is a Senior Certified Member of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals, Past President of the Organization and a Charter Board member. He is licensed by the State of Texas as a Senior Property Tax Consultant. He also serves on the POER Company's Executive Committee.

Mr. Parsons joined the POER Company in 1978 and has 36 years experience in the property tax profession. He is responsible for all company activities in the southwestern United States, which includes the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Before joining the firm, he was the Deputy Tax Assessor in the City of Arlington, Texas and the Arlington Independent School District. As an Assessor, he earned designations as a Certified Texas Assessor (CTA) and Registered Professional Assessor (RPA) in the State of Texas.

He is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and the National Association of Assessing Officers and the Texas Association of Assessing Officers. He has completed numerous appraisal and tax law courses provided by various national appraisal organizations and universities.
